"What more could have been said?" I wondered, left with a feeling of content, after reading Joyce Garity's essay "Is Sex All That Matters?" Able to identify with her on most of her viewpoints of the world in which we live in today, I felt some of the weight being lifted from off my shoulders; relieved that I'm not the only human in this world looking upon magazine and TV ads, with half-naked models posing as sex exploits, as a brainwashing on people's minds.

We are influenced by our society, culture and most of all what we perceive. There isn't a magazine, television commercial or billboard advertisement in Times Square that's not giving or sending out a sexual message to people. These ads are intended for viewers to believe in their fantasies and promises that if you don't buy and wear a certain pair of jeans, you won't look sexy or, if you don't buy and wear a certain cologne or perfume, no man will ever want you, or even if you don't look thin and petite you won't have a social life because being skinny is considered beautiful. In most American commercials, literally, a man and woman run around chasing each other on a beach half-naked; lovingly they embrace each other and kiss, implying "Forget about reality, let's make love. Forget about the fact that you might have a disease, and I have a big chance of getting pregnant. Forget about it." The more people watch these commercials, the more they believe these intended messages to be true. Forget about everything, only love and passion matters! Wrong! Today, the statistics on people diagnosed with having a sexually transmitted disease is high, and the statistics on young teens becoming impregnated is high. And, because of these teens having babies that they're unable to take care of, there are millions of children in foster care right now without any real place to call home.

In her essay, Joyce Garity, a social worker, hits every subject pertaining to "sex in media" and pinpoints what negative messages the world is sending out to our youth today. She refers to one girl in particular. Elaine had come to live with her for a while. Troubled and nearly lonesome in the world, she was pregnant again with her second child while her first child had already been placed in a foster home. When asked by Garity why she allowed herself to become pregnant again, she said she thought birth control and condoms to be unromantic and embarrassing; one couldn't really be passionate with sex and worry about using contraceptives at the same time. In other words, Elaine was just another brainwashed individual, lost in a fantasy where negativity doesn't exist. Forget about reality!

How can we deprogram the damage that has been done by the media? We can start by self-educating ourselves through self-help books. Through self-educating ourselves, we obtain knowledge and through knowledge come a transformation of our way of thinking, acting and feeling. Let's start making our own conclusions as to how we should live based on righteous morals and norms.

An introduction

Team iDemise is a gaming team with quite the reputation in FPS gaming. But this doesn't necessarily mean a thing when it comes to fast leveling in MMORPGs. So I purchased the guide with some skepticism.

I was quite pleasantly surprised to find my initial doubts groundless. iDemise's claim that their iDemise leveling guide on the market isn't just a boast-at the very least, they are a serious contender for the title. Find out why in this iDemise guide review.

The method

Anyone with even a bit of common sense knows that leveling in Warcraft is best done by questing. Even mediocre questing will result in far better experience gain than grinding mobs for hours. Superior players may even be able to plot out a questing course, and increase their leveling speed even more. Superior players who have done the quests many times can no doubt level even faster, with even better leveling routes.

The Team iDemise Leveling Guide makes you the equivalent of a superior player with multiple 70s. At no time did I find myself thinking "Wouldn't doing XXX before XXX be faster?" as I often have using other guides, such as Brian Kopp's Alliance Leveling Guide or Joanna's Horde Leveling Guide.

Now, you may be skeptical. "Ok, so I know what order to do them in. But I still don't know where everything is." Like other popular guides, the iDemise guide makes liberal use of map coordinates. And like a few others, they provide an addon to help out.

The Addon

The addon provided with the iDemise guide is really nice. I personally found it much more effective than any competitor's addon. Unlike other guide's mods, which usually just toss a load of coordinates on your map and say "good luck", this one includes everything you need to level, from directly in the game.

The entire guide is available to you. Not only the leveling guide, and a coordinate system, but built-in systems to make sure you are optimizing your character for leveling, with tips on Talent Builds and such. Really helpful to players new to the game or maybe just new to the class.

I purchased the XBOX 360 version of this game on the date of its release, and I actually played this anime game for over 5 hours as soon as I got home. The reason why is very simple, this game can be summed up in one word and that is, amazing. This is definitely not your everyday run of the mill fighting game.

The most amazing aspect of this game is the fact that they have taken actual footage and clips from the Dragonball Z series, and animated it into a cell-shaded work of art. This game also has the advantage that most of the voices are from the original series, with the addition of Vegeta being voiced by Christopher Sabat and not Brian Drummond. This is not exactly a problem as Sabat did voice over 200 episodes, whilst Drummond did about 50. But as simple as this touch is, it is something that many anime games fail to implement.

The game play is also simple and easy to use, and you can even equip cut scenes that can help you during the battle. For example, in the Saiyan saga, you can equip Kururin (Krillin in the UK), and he will aid you in your attack once you have reached all the requirements. These requirements can range from dealing X amount of damage, to taking off X life bars whilst you yourself have two.

This game is ridiculously pretty and extremely well made, though I was annoyed at the absence of the Buu Saga. The Buu Saga was the final chapter in the Dragonball Z saga, and I'm not entirely sure how you can call it a Dragonball Z game when it lacks all the sagas from that series. I mean, it even includes the stupid Brolli saga, but neglects to include the Buu saga which would have introduced to us all the fusion characters.

The reason this is also an issue is because it means that the next game they bring out can't be a Dragonball Z game, only a Dragonball game, or a GT game, which if they were to included the Buu Saga in this, then that would be incorrect as these series' are about 15 years apart. For none fans, this may not be an issue, but it is a huge contingency error, and they would in fact do better to miss the Buu Saga out all together, which would be a huge shame as it is in fact one of the coolest.

So if you like the Dragonball Z anime series, you should love this game, as it brings you everything a fan could want.

Paladins have a dual role in the world of warcraft, offering tanking abilities with been able to wear plate armor, along with been able to offer protective buffs and healing spells, well here are are the 10 main reason's you'll want to create a paladin

1. Paladins are the only class able to heal in Plate gear. This is very useful because it makes Paladins virtually a tank that can heal. Equipped with a shield, they can reach almost the same armor class as a Warrior. This allows them to survive while getting hit.

2. Paladins have three unique specializations. Paladins can be healers, tanks, or a melee DPS. This allows a player to choose between the three aspects of the game in one class. Paladins are also very good at all three specializations.

3. Paladins are the best tank against multiple mobs. When put up against multiple foes, Paladins have no problem tanking them and holding aggro. This makes them very useful for tanking instances or certain events on raids.

4. Paladins can deal high amounts of burst damage. If specialized as Retribution, Paladins can pack quite a bunch. With Avenging Wrath, Paladins can deal consecutive hits for a few thousand damage each.

5. Paladins are one of two classes able to go immune to everything. With Divine Shield, Paladins are able to make themselves immune to everything for a short amount of time. They can also use Blessing of Protection to become immune to all physical damage for a short amount of time. This is one of a Paladin's most important spells that they will use hundreds of times.

6. Paladins are the most versatile buffers in the game. Paladins get a huge arsenal of buffs, ranging from increased statistics, mana regeneration, or reduced threat output. There is almost a need for at least three Paladins on any raids simply for their buffs.

7. Paladins are highly demanded for groups and raids. Whether specialized as Holy, Protection, or Retribution, Paladins are highly sought for groups and raids. Their buffs and utility, among being able to heal or tank very well, makes them incredibly useful.

8. Paladins are a raid saver. If a raid is wiping, Paladins are able to use Divine Intervention to sacrifice themselves and make another player immune to everything and lose all of their aggro. This will let them resurrect the raid when the event or mobs reset. Paladins are also one of a few classes able to cast Resurrection.

9. Paladins are great for PvP if specialized as Holy. Paladins can sit back and cast their Flash of Light repeatedly for almost an endless amount of time. This makes them very overpowered in PvP if they are grouped with some heavy hitting DPS'ers.

10. Paladins get a unique mount. Paladins are one of two classes that receives a free and unique mount at level 40. At level 60, Paladins get the opportunity to complete an epic quest in order to receive another unique mount.

There are already reviews here to cover the basics. I have a 5 & 6 year old, they love it, mainly because the whole family can join in and enjoy it. (My wife and I have even been known to have a match once the children are asleep). Forget the kids making it though, it took daddy 20 minutes. Once assembled the children can do the running repairs without a problem. One little point; a small difference in co-ordination can lead to a big difference in the ability to win. This is an issue if the normal matching is a 5 year old verses a 6. We found the solution to this is to set the field up differently to the instructions. Give the weaker player more attackers and defenders and concentrate the stronger players men in the mid-field, it evens the differences out nicely.

Played every four years, the European Championships is second only to the World Cup, offering the perfect stage for top international sides to go in pursuit of continental soccer supremacy. Add to the equation sixteen teams, 31 matches, eight stadiums and over a million supporters and you have the ideal recipe for a three week feast of football.

This year's European Championships, or Euro 2008, is co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland and kicks off on Saturday 7th June in the Swiss city of Basel where Switzerland take on the Czech Republic in the first of the games played in the group stages of the tournament. The sixteen teams who qualified for the finals have already been drawn in to one of four groups (A,B,C,D) and will all play three matches in the opening stages of the competition against the three other teams that make up the group.

Once the group stage is complete, the top two teams from each group will progress in to the knock out stages of the tournament (or quarter finals). The winner of Group A will play the Runner up of Group B in Quarter Final whilst the other three Quarter Finals will be played between Winner of Group B v Winner of Group A, Winner of Group C v Runner up of Group D and Winner of Group D will play Runner up of Group C. The four Quarter Final winners will meet in the Semi Finals, the winners of which will determine the finalists.

All sixteen teams will enter the competition filled with optimism and believing that they have a chance of winning it. Some of the bigger teams will be expected to perform well whilst some of the less fancied sides will believe that they can repeat the achievements of Greece at Euro 2004, when they defied pre-tournament odds of 100/1 to lift the trophy, beating one of the favorites and host country Portugal in the final.

First played in 1960, their have been 12 European Championship winners and history would suggest that the winner of Euro 2008 will be one of the more fancied nations, with Spain, Italy, Holland, Germany and France collectively winning eight of the twelve previous European Championships to date.

The pre tournament favorites for Euro 2008 are Germany who look to be well positioned to progress from Group B, seemingly the weakest of the four groups. Two of the teams, Poland and Austria have never before qualified for a European Championship and Croatia look to be the next best and should finish runners up to the three times Euro Champions Germany.

In Group A, another of the leading pre-tournament fancies, Portugal will be expected to book their place in the quarter finals with relative ease. Beaten finalists four years ago and World Cup Semi Finalists two years ago, Portugal will be looking to go one better this time around. They also have the current best football player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo, in the squad so a big tournament is expected from Felipe Scolari's side. The Czech Republic should give Portugal the most to do in Group A and are always a team capable of performing well in big tournaments whilst it would be a surprise if either of the other two sides, Switzerland and Turkey finished in the top two, making it to the knockout stages.

The toughest Euro 2008 group is Group C, which will see European heavyweights, Italy, France and Holland go head to head. All three are undoubtedly leading fancies for eventual tournament winners but with only two places in the group one will be certain to be heading home early. Italy are the current World Champions, beating France in the final in 2006 and will confident of a good tournament and will believe they can win it for the first time since 1968. France last won the European Championships in 2000 and still have a squad of players capable beating any of the other teams at Euro 2008 and it is not surprise to see them at the top of the Bookmakers Euro 2008 Betting Odds. Holland will no doubt also believe they have a big part to play in determining the outcome of Group C and Marco van Basten's side have the quality to upset either France or Italy and cannot be discounted. Romania make up Group C and whilst they are not a bad team, they are not on a par with the other three and it would be a major upset if they won any of their three games.

The four teams in Group D complete the line up of teams vying for Euro 2008 glory, of which, Spain look to be the pick to win the group and may be even good enough to go all the way to Euro glory. The Spanish national team are always ever presents at major football tournaments, often reaching the later stages, however, they are frequently criticized for failing to live up to pre tournament expectations, often failing when under pressure. They have a talented squad heading in to Euro 2008 and are justifiably one of the leading fancies. Sweden, Russia and Greece make up Group D and all three poses the necessary attributes to qualify for the knock out stages. It is a tough call as to which team will join Spain in the top two of this group and the games involving these sides are sure to be highly competitive, with Sweden perhaps having that little more experience than the other two.

Predicting the winner of Euro 2008 is a matter of opinion with around half of the sixteen teams all possessing realistic chances of going on to win the tournament. The only certainty is that it is going to be highly competitive tournament and most importantly should provide a stage for many exciting games.

It may well come down to such factors as which team can play to their strengths whilst limiting their weaknesses as well as playing well under pressure and luck is also sure to play a major part. A case can be made for several teams but on bare form and perceived quality of squad alone, Spain look to be the best bet to be the winners in the pursuit of Euro 2008 glory.
