Code Four Athletics 'Vashon' team soccer shorts

Customer Review: I like these shorts
I bought these shorts because I had some exactly like them made by the big "U-" manufacturer, which were starting to show their age. Well-made shorts, I am able to move well in them. The only thing lacking (which my other shorts have) is a back pocket to put my keys/phone/wallet/etc. If I had that, I could give 5 stars.
Customer Review: Great shorts!
Just purchased these for my husband and he loves them. Great nylon material keeps him cool while he's working around the house or running in them. I purchased 5 pairs in assorted colors. They also wash up great. Definitely recommend!

From the beginning, Sony PlayStation games have dominated the market with PS1, moving onto PS2, and today's extreme graphics on PlayStation 3. A variety of games for everyone, for every level player, and of course from the simplistic card games, to multiplayer fantasy game universes. Sony PlayStation continually amazes consumers with their improvements and variety.

It's interesting to note that there are many people who have considered purchasing a PlayStation, but have not. It's important to realize that whether you're looking for an older model PS2 or the brand-new PS3, the variety of games available can include simplistic games such as cards, to golfing, football, fishing, soccer, as well as fantasy role-playing, cops and robbers, and age-appropriate games for kids. Adventure games can include God of war, Wild West, Wild Arms, as well as puzzle games, and real-life home-based systems such as the Simpsons for younger players.

According to which PlayStation you own, really decide its price. Some games for the early PSP models can range from $2-$5, with the most popular original PSP games running about $10. For the newer games, you're going to find them more expensive for your PS3, something between $10-$75 per game is not unusual. And the nice thing about the newest PSP is the ability to actually download the games direct from the Internet onto the gaming system itself.

With today's variety of new game systems, PS3 is leading the pack due to the variety of games available. Many of the other newest supreme graphics systems do not have a lot of games available and developers are having trouble because of the complexity of the graphics system. Although PS3 developers are having the same trouble grasping some of the concepts, their enthusiasm for the development has led them to give you a variety of games you can't be beat.

While you can go to gaming stores, upscale department stores and computer stores for a PS3, you can also purchase one on the Internet. Go directly to the Sony PlayStation site and you'll find you'll get good quality and at the same time, a good price. Seconds are often sold on auction sites and cannot be dependable, so purchasing direct from the manufacturer with a warranty and guarantee is probably your safest bet. Purchasing games can be found also online or at your computer or gaming store. Games that are recently released can often be had quicker and easier online than they can be had at your computer or gaming store.

So while owning an older model PlayStation is still a bundle of fun and many games and titles are still available, the PS3 is taking the gaming world by storm. Supreme graphics, and lifelike, screen shots, can help you decide which PlayStation game and gaming system you may want.

NFL Football Team Logo Transfers Rub-On Stickers/Tattoos - Oakland Raiders (3 Pack)

You've seen temporary tattoos, stickers, and team logo patches, but these logo transfers are way better than any of those other options. They use the same type of technology as a temporary tattoo, but they adhere to any surface - paper, wood, books, greeting cards, cups, and more - without water, and are easily removable with alcohol, baby oil, or adhesive tape.

It's been awhile since I played my DS. For awhile there, not too much interested me. That all came to an end when I saw Contra 4 on display!

Now, there have been many attempts on making a next-gen Contra. Needless to say, all have failed miserably. There was one with a samurai for some reason I don't know. Contra is a game that should have always stayed as a side-scroller and never brought to 3-D.

First thing I noticed when I popped it in, the classic Contra jingle - that instantly made me warm up to this game.

When the game starts, you are in a very nostalgic jungle. It has everything from the enemies that charge straight ahead to the exploding bridge. It has some very welcome new elements as well. First off, both top and bottom screens are used. If an enemy is shooting you from the top screen, you better shoot up. Also, the grappling hook is introduced. This allows you to actually get on the top screen.

The enemies are in abundance, but so are the weapons. When there are 7 guys coming at you, that good old spread shot is a life savor. There is also the laser, fire and heat seeker. Best part, they all upgrade when you get 2 of the same weapon icon. Speaking of weapon icons, they use the Contra 3 system where you can hold 2 different weapons at once, losing the equipped weapon if your killed.

There are about 7 levels in the game. Some new levels with a classic feel and some old levels with new elements. I don't want to give too much away, but yes, there is a Base Level. 3 difficulties in the game: Easy, Medium and Hard. Or as I come to know them by: "Lets see whats ahead. This is really hard and Aghhh, this will be the end of me." This game will test not only your skill as a gamer, but your patience.

Classic Contra multiplayer is available. Remember when you and a buddy would play and one would take high and the other low? Somewhere along the level you both got mixed up and yell at each other saying, "I thought you had that guy" or "too bad I am taking a life". Contra multiplayer has always been great, and this is no exception.

I recommend this game for people looking for a challenge and for us who played the other Contras to the point we didn't need the cheat codes.

The Soul Calibur series has always been at the forefront of the beat 'em up market. Since the original version of the game erupted onto the scene in the late nineties (named Soul Blade), the franchise has grown in renown and popularity. Introducing a varied range of fighters and dynamic weapon-play, the Soul series of games have always prided themselves on delivering a rich gaming experience, taking the static nature of the beat 'em up genre and crafting it into a more rounded gaming experience.

Soul Calibur IV is the first of the Soul series to reach next gen platforms, appearing on both the Playstation 3 and the Xbox 360. One of the most eagerly anticipated titles of 2008, Soul Calibur IV had the weight of expectation of its back, especially with Playstation 3 fans, as it is the first real beat 'em up to be released for the console. Soul Calibur III, whilst maintaining a rich and detailed gaming ethos, was viewed by most as a miss-step in the series, overcomplicating game play and deviating from a much-loved combat engine.

Thankfully, and as promised, Soul Cailbur IV rectifies this mistake and pushes its way triumphantly to the head of beat 'em ups one again. Whilst technically the game offers little in originality, this is really the point. Fans demanded a return to the classic style of the franchise and that's what they got. Of course, being a next-gen title does bring massive advantages with it. Game play is fluid and more natural than ever before, with character models moving and reacting with a realism that borders on astonishing at times.

Soul Calibur's crux has always been the motley band of fighters that appear to wrestle for control of the soul swords, and in next-gen presentation the characters are truly gorgeous. From intricate facial expressions and motion capture, to dizzying attention to detail (polished armour will change each bout to reflect the relating background); Soul Calibur IV is truly a delight to behold.

Gameplay returns with the usual plethora of additional content. Tower of Lost Souls will test your skill and endurance as you take on constant combatants without a health replenish, and for the first time ever Soul Calibur goes online, allowing players to combat each other across the world and earn respect on a global scale! A few new in-game functions have also been added, most notably the Soul Gauges and Critical Finishes, which act as instant winners you can punish an enemy with if they block too often.

Special mention must go to the Character Creation mode, which returns from Soul Calibur III with a massive revamp. Whilst the range of different styles has been scrapped, this makes way for a function so in depth it is addictive enough to lose hours of your day to. The smallest details are accounted for; you can even alter the pitch of your character's voice. With a gargantuan range of equipment available and even more to unlock, players can create truly unique characters. The most impressive thing is that, whilst on past games character creation was fun, the end result would never gel with the characters proper and appeared almost as superimposed sprites on the screen. With Soul Calibur IV, the characters you create are so detailed and well developed that they could have been made by the games designers themselves, and appear no less impressive than the real characters of the game.

There are few downsides to report, but a few niggling factors emerge in the game. The Story mode seems less rich than in previous instalments, and there is less of an overall narrative to the proceedings which used to give the story distance, you felt you really were travelling the world in search of your goal. Also, using the in-game graphics for the character endings is adequate; however with next-gen consoles surely the ability to give us full CGI endings isn't too much to ask?

Overall however, Soul Calibur IV is a raging success, doing exactly what it says on the tin, and then some. A beat 'em up has never looked so attractive, and the game offers enough challenge to keep players hooked way past the usual parameters for a game of this genre.

Of course the possibilities are endless but the downright answer to the question, which seems more realistic than living in fantasy land, is that she will never be popular if she was born poor. Remember that money these days buys everything except of course simple pleasures like sleep, peace and insight on things that are far valuable than fame, cars and late-night parties.

If it werent for her money, she could have been another insignificant person lurking around unnoticed but probably her life could have been more meaningful. She's a spoiled brat and everybody believes that, except maybe some young American girls who see her as an icon worth their adoration. She doesnt have a regard for other people. She wasnt able to finish high school and her popularity is focused on all the wrong sides. In short, if it werent for her money, she could have not even made it to Hollywood or anywhere near it because lets face it she has no talent, she's not the most beautiful person the world has seen and she's not blessed with a great body that teases all top models in the world.

Her popularity was only created by her highly-paid publicists plus her own talent on getting everybody's attention, regardless if she is being scrutinized or being loved.

She could never be popular if she were poor. Like all of us who, at one point of our lives, have dreamt to become famous or at least have the money that she was gifted with. And like all of us, it would take colossal effort before we can actually gain other people's regard. She, however, got all of these hassle free, without the slightest effort.

How many of us have to break our necks in work just to get through a day? How many of us have been toiling for ages just to create a better life than what we have? And how many of us have to develop ourselves into the ultimate working machines just to be noticed by the world.

We work so hard just to get promoted in our jobs. Sometimes, we spend even our unpaid hours for the sake of producing plausible accomplishments to advance our careers. Some people in other parts of the world work just to get by a lunch with the hanging doom of not eating for the next supper. And there are ordinary sons and daughters who turn themselves into modern age slaves just to help their parents with the finances.

There are countless faces in Hollywood who have to start writing hundreds of screenplays before they ever get the chance to be recognized, some even have to endure a lifelong failure to become a writer in a Hollywood film. And there are hundreds of other starlets who have got all the talents, the looks and the right attitude but never had the breaks. But Paris Hilton is a rare species. She no longer needs to undergo all the pains of hard work and she no longer have to wait for the break to come.

She can buy her own way into Hollywood and she could make her own break grounding chances, even if it means that she has to expose herself in Hollywood without a single strand of dignity on her back. And yet, with all her privileges, she seems to have forgotten how it means to become a human. Understandably, she will never understand the life of the poor and hardworking people but if she is lucky, she may have a glimpse of some painful realities that will spank her right on her face. And yet, even her personal realizations seem like a farfetched hope for all those concerned.

If she were born like most of us, little people as the elites call us, she may not have even get a peek at a Hollywood studio. All she has to settle with is the chance to at least see her favorite stars on movies and television and occasionally on lives shows. But unless she works really hard, to the point that she is all but spent because of labor, she may never have the chance to become the person she is now.

She is Paris Hilton because she has money. And this same money makes her famous. Take her fortune away then she's just another person trying to live a daily life in simplicity but with greater meaning.

A new video surfing game, "Waikiki Surf Challenge," is a PC-compatible game in which the player(s) try to score as many points as possible by hitting floating tikis while maneuvering on a threatening wave complete with man-eating sharks and treacherous reefs. The graphics and animation are all up to par with other top-selling surfing video games and operation is via the computer keyboard arrows or one's favorite compatible game control. Points are also scored by tricks the rider is able to perform... like aerials, cutbacks, and floaters... just like the real thing.

Some might have experienced the video surfing game through a company which rents it out complete with real surfboards mounted on motion sensors to control the movement of the on-screen surfer. And while the original surf simulators are out of reach for most of us, "Waikiki Surf Challenge" is the actual game used by this company offered in what might be considered a mini-version of the original! It might seem that taking away the real surfboard controls would put this game into the realm of the ordinary. However, "Waikiki Surf Challenge" is unique in a sea of similar products based on the personalization options it offers.

Messages like a birthday wish on the opening and closing banners of the game... a message and photo appearing in the background that's seen between the waves' rise and fall... and, most notably, a talking surfer bearing the customer's head and message that appears every time a wipeout occurs make the game almost as fun for spectators as it is for the players. The personalization is accomplished by customers, when purchasing a game, provide their desired message and photo which the company then incorporates into the game graphics prior to shipping it out to them.

The game is available to both individual users as well as companies or organizations that might wish to utilize the personalization options for advertising and promotional purposes.

The author, Richard Young, is the creator of hawaiibeachcombers.com, a website about Hawaii beaches. This article follows last week's launching of http://www.VideoSurfHawaii.com, the online source for the "Waikiki Surf Challenge" personalized video surf game.

"What more could have been said?" I wondered, left with a feeling of content, after reading Joyce Garity's essay "Is Sex All That Matters?" Able to identify with her on most of her viewpoints of the world in which we live in today, I felt some of the weight being lifted from off my shoulders; relieved that I'm not the only human in this world looking upon magazine and TV ads, with half-naked models posing as sex exploits, as a brainwashing on people's minds.

We are influenced by our society, culture and most of all what we perceive. There isn't a magazine, television commercial or billboard advertisement in Times Square that's not giving or sending out a sexual message to people. These ads are intended for viewers to believe in their fantasies and promises that if you don't buy and wear a certain pair of jeans, you won't look sexy or, if you don't buy and wear a certain cologne or perfume, no man will ever want you, or even if you don't look thin and petite you won't have a social life because being skinny is considered beautiful. In most American commercials, literally, a man and woman run around chasing each other on a beach half-naked; lovingly they embrace each other and kiss, implying "Forget about reality, let's make love. Forget about the fact that you might have a disease, and I have a big chance of getting pregnant. Forget about it." The more people watch these commercials, the more they believe these intended messages to be true. Forget about everything, only love and passion matters! Wrong! Today, the statistics on people diagnosed with having a sexually transmitted disease is high, and the statistics on young teens becoming impregnated is high. And, because of these teens having babies that they're unable to take care of, there are millions of children in foster care right now without any real place to call home.

In her essay, Joyce Garity, a social worker, hits every subject pertaining to "sex in media" and pinpoints what negative messages the world is sending out to our youth today. She refers to one girl in particular. Elaine had come to live with her for a while. Troubled and nearly lonesome in the world, she was pregnant again with her second child while her first child had already been placed in a foster home. When asked by Garity why she allowed herself to become pregnant again, she said she thought birth control and condoms to be unromantic and embarrassing; one couldn't really be passionate with sex and worry about using contraceptives at the same time. In other words, Elaine was just another brainwashed individual, lost in a fantasy where negativity doesn't exist. Forget about reality!

How can we deprogram the damage that has been done by the media? We can start by self-educating ourselves through self-help books. Through self-educating ourselves, we obtain knowledge and through knowledge come a transformation of our way of thinking, acting and feeling. Let's start making our own conclusions as to how we should live based on righteous morals and norms.
